There’s a new highest-paid non-quarterback in the NFL.
Defensive end Will Anderson has reportedly agreed to a three-year, $150-million extension with the Houston Texans, per ESPN’s Adam Schefter on Friday.
According to Schefter, the deal includes $134 million in guaranteed money, $100 million of which was guaranteed at signing.
With the new deal, Anderson passes Green Bay Packers pass rusher Micah Parsons — making $46.5 million annually — as the highest-paid non-QB. The Texans star is also the NFL’s first non-QB to hit an AAV of $50 million.
Anderson, 24, was taken third overall by Houston in 2023 and has since racked up 30.0 sacks through three seasons. The Alabama product posted a career-best 12.0 sacks and three forced fumbles in 2025, earning his first all-pro selection and finishing second in Defensive Player of the Year voting.
