The Dallas Wings went back to the UConn well with the No. 1 pick.

Guard Azzi Fudd was taken first overall by the Wings on Monday in the 2026 WNBA Draft, marking back-to-back years taking a Huskies player with the top selection. Last year, Dallas drafted Fudd’s former teammate and reigning Rookie of the Year Paige Bueckers first overall.

Now the former national champions reunite on the Wings.

Fudd, 23, averaged a career-best 17.3 points,2.6 rebounds, 3.1 assists and 2.5 steals over 39 games as a senior. She also shot 44.7 per cent from distance and was named an AP All-American.
