Portland defeated the host Phoenix Suns 114-110 in the NBA Play-In Tournament on Tuesday to clinch the No. 7 seed in the Western Conference.
The victory earns the Blazers a first-round matchup with Victor Wembanyama and the No. 2-seeded San Antonio Spurs. Game 1 of that series is set for Sunday in San Antonio.
Meanwhile, the Suns will have to wait until Friday for their second chance at securing a post-season berth.
Phoenix will host the winner of Wednesday’s 9-10 play-in game between the Los Angeles Clippers and Golden State Warriors.
The winner of Friday’s contest will take on the No. 1 Oklahoma City Thunder in Round 1.
