The Minnesota Twins are calling on a former Toronto Blue Jays farmhand to boost their short-handed bullpen.

Rojas will join the Twins as a reliever.

Toronto traded Rojas to the Twins at last year’s trade deadline as part of the return for Louis Varland and Ty France.

Rojas, 23, signed with the Blue Jays as an international free agent in 2020 and slowly climbed through the organization’s affiliates, landing at triple-A Buffalo before being traded.

The six-foot-two southpaw has made three appearances this season, recording a 0.00 ERA and seven strikeouts between low- and triple-A.

Minnesota’s bullpen ranked 23rd in the majors by ERA and 29th in strikeouts following Sunday’s action.
