One of the best players in the WNBA is cashing in on the new collective bargaining agreement.

The Minnesota Lynx have re-signed superstar forward Napheesa Collier on a one-year, $1.4 million supermax contract, ESPN’s Kendra Andrew reported Thursday.

Collier, 29, now becomes the third player in the WNBA to sign a supermax deal, joining A’ja Wilson of the Las Vegas Aces and Kelsey Mitchell of the Indiana Fever.

A four-time all-WNBA selection, Collier has been the cornerstone for the Lynx since they drafted her sixth overall in 2019.

One of the best two-way players in the league, Collier has four all-defensive selections to her name and won the Defensive Player of the Year award in 2024.

Last year, she averaged 22.9 points, 7.3 rebounds, 3.2 assists, 1.6 steals and 1.5 blocks while playing 32.3 minutes per game. However, she dealt with injuries throughout the season, holding her to only 33 regular-season games and derailing her MVP campaign — she finished second in voting behind A’ja Wilson for a second straight season.

Collier is expected to miss time at the start of the season after undergoing off-season surgery on both her ankles.
