The Miami Dolphins are adding a Canadian.
Minutes after the NFL Draft ended Saturday, the Dolphins signed Ottawa-born defensive tackle Rene Konga to a guaranteed contract worth $287,500, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reported.
The guaranteed contract should give him a leg up on some other undrafted free agents at Dolphins camp.
Konga spent his first three collegiate seasons at Rutgers before playing his final two at Louisville.
Last season, the defensive tackle earned second-team All-ACC honours after posting 1.5 sacks, 5.0 tackles for loss and six pass breakups in 12 starts. He logged a career-high 2.5 sacks in 2024.
