The Edmonton Oilers finished their game against the San Jose Sharks without their starting goaltender.
Connor Ingram did not come out for the third period of Wednesday’s game and was ruled out for an undisclosed reason.
Tristan Jarry took to the crease in relief for the final frame, as Ingram was seen sitting as the backup goaltender shortly after the third began.
Midway through the third, Ingram took to the ice during a TV timeout to briefly stretch, but ultimately remained in the backup seat.
Prior to exiting, Ingram allowed two goals on 10 shots. The Oilers led 5-2.
The 29-year-old from Saskatoon has appeared in 28 games for the Oilers this season after joining the team on a professional tryout. In that time, he’s recorded a 2.78 goals-against average and a .895 save percentage.
Forward Jason Dickinson also exited the game in the third period. He was helped off the ice after taking a shot to the foot. Prior to exiting, the 30-year-old played 12:06.
