Head coach Adam Foote said Tuesday the veteran forward isn’t expected to suit up for the club’s final two games unless injuries force a late change in plans.
In his first season with the Canucks, the 34-year-old Kane has 13 goals and 31 points in 71 games.
Vancouver acquired Kane from the Edmonton Oilers this past off-season for a fourth-round pick.
The Kings host the Los Angeles Kings on Tuesday (10 p.m. ET / 7 p.m. PT) before ending their season on the road against the Oilers on Thursday (9 p.m. ET / 6 p.m. PT, Sportsnet and Sportsnet+)
