Defender Matheus Pereira will be missing some time on the pitch.
The Toronto FC defender is set to undergo surgery on Friday for a chronic groin condition, the team announced on Friday.
Pereira’s recovery time is estimated to be 10-12 weeks.
The 25-year-old has played in two matches so far this season, totalling 120 minutes of action and one start. TFC has three wins, two losses and four draws on the season and sits sixth in the Eastern Conference with 13 points.
