Cutter Gauthier scored the go-ahead goal late in the third as the Ducks topped the Edmonton Oilers 6-4 on Wednesday to tie the first-round series at 1-1.

Goals were not hard to come by in Game 2 as each side traded tallies, culminating in a game-tying goal from Oilers rookie Josh Samanski in the third period that looked to be the rubber stamp for overtime.

But Gauthier had other plans as he scoredĀ his second of the gameĀ just over a minute later, then Ryan Poehling got the empty-net insurance marker to send the series back to Anaheim on a winning note.
