It’s not a good thing when this Toronto Blue Jays team is matching a mark from the 2012 edition of the squad.

Yet that’s where the Blue Jays find themselves after losing 6-2 to the Arizona Diamondbacks on Saturday.

That season, the Blue Jays finished 73-89 under manager John Farrell.

Shortly after the 2012 season, Farrell was part of a trade to the Boston Red Sox when it was clear the manager wanted out, leading to the rehiring of John Gibbons for his second go-around as Toronto skipper.

The Blue Jays will try to salvage one game of the three-game series in Arizona on Sunday (4:10 p.m. ET / 1:10 p.m. PT, Sportsnet ONE, Sportsnet+).

The team then heads to Los Angeles to face the Angels in the final series of a nine-game trip.
