The Toronto Maple Leafs‘ goaltender exited just 2:34 into the first period with an apparent injury.
It appeared to be a groin injury as Stolarz extended to make a save and instantly went down in serious pain.
He had to be helped off the ice and struggled to put any weight on his leg heading down the tunnel to the locker room.
Joseph Woll replaced Stolarz in the net.
Stolarz has struggled with injuries this season, appearing in just 25 games. The 32-year-old has a 2.66 goals-against average and a .914 save percentage in his limited playing time.
