The Toronto Blue Jays will look to bounce back against the Arizona Diamondbacks without a key bat.
Varsho exited Friday’s loss in the third inning with right knee discomfort. Manager John Schneider confirmed that the outfielder will not undergo imaging and is considered day-to-day.
It’s unclear if Varsho will be available off the bench for the Blue Jays.
The 29-year-old entered Friday as one of Toronto’s hottest hitters. After his first-inning strikeout, Varsho owned a .262/.333/.462 slashline with three home runs and four doubles.
Varsho dealt with shoulder and hamstring issues in 2025, but still managed to hit 20 home runs in the 71 games that he did play.
Now without Varsho, the Blue Jays’ depth is being further tested, as lineup regulars George Springer, Addison Barger and Alejandro Kirk are already on the injured list.
