Paolo Banchero led the way with 25 points as the Magic thumped the Charlotte Hornets 121-90 in the NBA Play-In Tournament on Friday.
Orlando clinched the No. 8 seed in the Eastern Conference with the win and will face the top-seeded Detroit Pistons in Round 1.
The Hornets, meanwhile, head home as a promising season ends with yet another missed playoff appearance.
The Western Conference’s final playoff spot will be determined later Friday when the Golden State Warriors take on the Phoenix Suns.
